“The process of discovering our shared foundation in this chaotic human experience excites and inspires me, making me wonder what role I’m playing in it all. This journey carries both urgency and responsibility; despite the weight of life’s struggles, I believe there is still so much beauty and light to be found. Like nature, in all her majesty, presents herself to us with unfiltered honesty, offering solace without judgment. From an early age, I was always observing and questioning the world around me. I learned to navigate reality through creativity. I experimented with different lifestyles and environments, seeking understanding. My search led my family and me to take a five-year break from our fast-paced society, living closely with nature and various Indigenous communities. We created the film DOWN to EARTH, capturing the voices of medicine people from diverse backgrounds and revealing a collective wisdom that transcends borders—echoing the same truths in their unique languages while honouring their own rich traditions.”
