ZOOMAN is a feature documentary that captures the journey of a man pursuing his dream against all odds. Buddy envisions a zoo in his backyard—a 40-acre woodland oasis in the heart of rural Wallace, MI. He’s a larger-than-life character who sees possibilities where others might see only challenges. We meet Buddy 25 years into this extraordinary pursuit, which has blossomed beyond his wildest dreams. From rehabilitating injured deer, he has transformed his land into a 10-acre sanctuary that houses over 300 wild animals, including tigers, lions, bears, wolves, monkeys, alligators, and hyenas, all living in spacious enclosures thoughtfully crafted with rocks, caves, and pools—built with immense dedication and effort.

Throughout the changing seasons, we follow Buddy, 54, and his fiancé Carrie, 27, observing their struggles and sacrifices as they chase this dream without judgment. Their unwavering commitment to conservation and survival is palpable. ZOOMAN is a raw and authentic portrayal of a man living his life with fierce passion and determination.
